Ruella Yates teaches and practices Liberty Foundations at Spirit Horse Ranch Liberty Foundations LLC near Oklahoma City, inspired by Native American and Old West traditions of her home on the Great Plains. She works to establish loving communication and respect with horses, using their own language to create deep connection between horses and the people who love them, increasing the well-being of both.
This way of being with horses requires a paradigm shift in thinking about horse work and play. It is done completely at Liberty, without tack or fences, with the horse free to leave or stay. When horses realize they are truly free, they open themselves to shaping and training, and deepen their relationship with you to an unprecedented level. After Liberty Foundations, horses go easily and joyfully to the practice of any discipline, from dressage to trail riding to companionship. Ruella is successful in coaching horse/human teams with all personality types.
